Porcelain Tea or Water Pitcher 6X3"Artist: Mary Benjamin
Items In Stock: 1
Mary adds ceramic stains to moist porcelain, using various techniques to make interesting surface designs. All the colors and patterns on this vase are in the porcelain itself.
The pitcher is hand constructed much like a sewing project. Shapes cut from the moist patterned clay are pieced together. The process is a challenge for artists because the clay dries very quickly forcing work to be done without hesitation. As Mary says, "The clay has a certain say in it all."
Each porcelain piece is fired to 2300 degrees, making it extremely durable. All Mary's pieces are food and dishwasher safe.
Made in America, in Columbia, Missouri.
