Detailed Description:
ARKARUA, by award-winning artist Lenadra Spangler, is a vesses constructed with a cast paper and twined reed form that has been covered with artist-made cotton paper and embellished with found paper, antique buttons and paint. Completed in 2003, this one-of-a-kind piece is part of the show "Layers, Layers, Layers" a special Bluestem Missouri Crafts presentation in conjunction with the International Surface Design Association’s “MIND + BODY†Conference held in Kansas City. The vessel stands 14" tall x 8" wide in either direction. |
